LOS ANGELES – Bae Sang-moon is off to another great start at the Northern Trust Open. The next step is a better finish.
Bae played bogey-free on another gorgeous day at Riviera for a 5-under 66. Among the early starters Friday, he had a one-shot lead over Aaron Baddeley.
Baddeley birdied his last four holes for a 65.
Dustin Johnson, who led after the opening round at 66, played in the afternoon.
Bae was at 9-under 133. He was tied for the lead going into the weekend at Riviera last year only to post a 76 on Saturday. He called that a good experience — the South Korean won a few months later in the Byron Nelson Championship — and believes he will play well the next two days.
