Galicia chief vacationed in Cascais and Ibiza with drug lord
Premier Alberto N¨²?ez Feij¨®o made trips in mid-1990s with convicted criminal
Galicia premier Alberto N¨²?ez Feij¨®o has admitted he also traveled to Cascais in Portugal and to the island of Ibiza with the convicted smuggler Marcial Dorado in the mid-1990s, when he was serving as deputy regional health chief.
Witnesses recall seeing the Popular Party baron - who has been under fire for his links with the imprisoned trafficker ever since EL PA?S published photos last week of the two men together in Vigo on a boat owned by Dorado 20 years ago - among the guests at New Year's Eve parties held by Dorado in a hotel in the Portuguese town, as well as at celebrations at a home he owned on the Galician island of Arousa.
Feij¨®o also admitted to EL PA?S that he had traveled to Ibiza where Dorado usually spent part of his summer holidays - though always in the company of other people.
